#Instafamous: two successful PR events in one week
With numerous and top-notch products, Sony is the multimedia reference. With two stylish PR events in one week, we invited Belgian influencers and journalists to get acquainted with the wide Sony offering. And #Instafamous as we are, we provided engaging social content.
Tight deadline, big ambition
Sony wanted to meet the Belgian press and influencer scene, so our PR team arranged a successful date. We invited our connections to visit our Tour de Belgique, a cozy and stylish event where guests could try out the PS5 and accompanying gaming headsets, take selfies with the latest smartphones, or try out the most innovative video and vlog cameras. At the same time, they got a glimpse of the latest Sony soundbars.
Aftermovie and IG Reels
Both events were also well-managed on site. With a warm and professional reception, a nice goodie bag and delicious snacks and drinks, both our journalists and influencers were pampered.
Meanwhile, our content team started working with the camera (a Sony, of course, what else?) themselves to create some fun video content. The result was processed into 4 Instagram Reels and a funky aftermovie. But we were not the only ones taking care of the visuals: the influencers also went for it.
A total of 41 guests dropped by and together posted more than 50 Instagram stories and posts with the desired hashtags and mentions. Good for a whopping 164K online impressions.
Both events were a big hit. Sony even communicated it internally as a best practice to bring new products to the attention of media and influencers, and maintain good relationships. And a nice bonus: the Dutch Sony team got acquainted with the Belgian influencer and press landscape.
